The Baojie BJ-218 is a tiny radio covering 136-174 and 400-480MHz. Power output is 5, 10 or 25 Watts and there’s even a small cooling fan on the rear of the radio. It can be rather fiddly to use but it’s a great little box for the price. I’ve had mine for years.
Programming:
I now have the software and programming cable for this very small radio. The software I use is Chirp and the cable cost £11.86. And, it works! If you’re wondering why I’m surprised, it’s because it’s not unusual to have connection problems between the PC and various radios.
I’m running out of aerials so I’m only able to use the radio on 70cms.
