I have the Baofeng UV-9R handheld radio and it’s somewhat bulky, but has a nice feel to it. I bought it second-hand and I’m very pleased with it but, I thought it was supposed to pump out 8 Watts. I believe it’s only 5 Watts, not to worry. It must be the UV-9R Plus which is 8 Watts?

I have the programming cable but, as yet, I’ve not been able to find the software to program the radio. As you can see from the photo below, the connection to the radio is completely different to other Baofeng radios.
