Apart from our local repeater GB3BR the 70cms band is rarely used at my location. This is my AnyTone AT-778V/U Transceiver. I have three of these excellent radios, one of which I use for 70cms. On UHF, the radio covers 400-490MHz. Output power is 5, 10 or 25 Watts. It’s great for mobile or base station, but it’s FM only.
Below is the Watson W-50 antenna for 2 metres and 70cms. It’s about 40 feet AGL and in the clear, so it does pretty well. I monitor our local 70cms repeater GB3BR most of the time.
